Child Support Calculations

California has a formula used in the Family Law Court that our law office also uses to determine child support calculations. The formula is used to determine how much money a parent is to pay for child support for maintenance of their child/children when the parents live apart or divorce.

Child support calculations depend on the amount of time the children will live with each parent, as well as the number of children the two parents have together. Also important in establishing a child support amount is the earnings/ income of both parents.

Additional factors that are considered include other child support payments and hardship payments. There are a number of tools our law firm utilizes in calculating child support payments. The method used to calculate may have a major impact on your financial situation which calls for experienced legal counsel. Call to set a consultation to determine how we can help in your child support case.
