Wedding photographers share clues a divorce may be in the future

Couples who wish to document their wedding day typically turn to professional photographers. Because these professionals often spend significant time with the engaged couple, they tend to notice cues that a relationship may not be destined for 'happily ever after.' California residents who are planning to initiate a divorce of their own might possibly recognize one of these warning signs.

One of the first hints that a marriage might be in trouble is the refusal of one partner to take part in the pictures. While it is true many people do not like being photographed, most will do so to please their new spouse. Another possible clue is a higher than average lack of response to invitations. Experienced photographers claim that if under 80 percent of invited guests do not show support, that may be a sign the marriage is a mistake.

Two other cues that photographers listed are a feeling of false unity in the couple's interactions and quarrelling among the bridal party participants. Other professionals offered a lack of agreement on money matters, especially on the cost of the wedding, as a sign the marriage is starting off with difficulty. Others remarked that verbal sparring that including sarcastic jabs toward one another as an indication the relationship may not last.

Finally, some photographers mentioned a relationship that appears to be based only on physical attraction toward each other or the tendency of a couple to spend limited time together on the wedding day as cues that there may not be wedded bliss in the future. There are many reasons why a marriage may end in a divorce, but the presence of these behaviors may point to the possibility in the future. Whatever the reason, California family law attorneys can help those individuals seeking to end their marriages helpful advice and professional representation.
